Private Pilot License Part 61 Flight School


We are a Part 61 Flight School located in Wray, CO that can help you obtain a Private Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Commercial License, and a Multi-Engine Rating. So, no matter what your end goal is in aviation is we are an excellent and affordable first step.

How long will it take?

How quickly you meet your goals is dependent on how often you fly and your skill level, but here is a general idea:

  • Private Pilot: Minimum of 40 hours

  • Instrument: Additional minimum of 40 hours

  • Commercial: Minimum of 250 hours

  • Multi-Engine: 5-10 hours

What should I expect?

  • To have a dedicated Flight Instructor to help you through every step to success.

  • Plan to fly with an instructor 2-3 times per week.

  • Plan to spend 2 hours for every one hour flown doing ground on your own or with an instructor to prepare for the oral and written portions of the FAA exams.

Meet The Instructor D’koda Geer

D’koda was born in Casper, Wyoming. He took his first discovery flight in 2015 and fell in love with flying. Since then he has completed his private, instrument, commercial, and flight instructor ratings. He also completed a 6 year Army contract where he was deployed once. D’Koda has since moved to Wray in order to help build pilots. As D’Koda takes on his new flight instructor role in Wray, he hopes to be a vehicle in order to help others achieve their dream of flying while becoming safe and knowledgeable. He hopes to one day fly for a major airline and bridge the gap between other continents because the world is fascinating and needs to be explored.
